The City of Vero Beach Recreation Department will offer full-day summer camps for children 6 - 12 years old at Leisure Square. If registering a 6-year-old child, must bring birth certificate for proof of age. We provide a safe, secure, and fun environment with supervision. Our camps offer an opportunity for youth to make new friends and spend their summer participating in recreational and educational programs. There will be 9 weeks of camp. Two camps will be offered: Sports/Aquatics Camp and Aerial Antics Camp.
SPORTS / AQUATICS CAMP AT LEISURE SQUARE
Sports/Aquatics Camp offers a chance for kids to play their favorite sports all at one camp. The emphasis is on a variety of sports and recreational activities including volleyball, tennis, kickball, football & basketball. Children learn fundamental skills in a fun and supportive environment that emphasizes character development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Weekly trips and activities will include bowling, movies, skating, and swimming. Special activities will include field day events, games and out of county trips.
AERIAL ANTICS CAMP AT LEISURE SQUARE
We strongly recommend that students attend all 9 weeks of Aerial Antics Circus Camp in order to gain the full benefits. This Circus-based summer camp is now in its 51st year. This camp trains boys and girls for a performance in the Aerial Antics Youth Circus at the end of the summer. Instruction areas include gymnastics, tumbling, circus aerial, and dance. Fun-filled camp activities include swimming, movies, arts & crafts, games, and off-site activities such as bowling and skating.
The Aerial Antics Youth Circus will be held July 31, August 1, and August 2, 2025, at Saint Edward's School

Registration begins March 3, 2025. Summer camps will run nine (one-week) sessions from June 2, 2025 – August 1, 2025. Camp hours are 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with drop off/pick up from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The cost per week which includes all activities and lunch is $95 for city residents and $130 for non-city residents. A $15 deposit is required upfront for each week the child is registered to attend and the last week that the child is registered to attend is also to be paid upfront. JUNIOR STAFF VOLUNTEERS
Junior Staff volunteers serve as role models, help mentor campers, and lead basic camp activities. Colleges, work environments, clubs, and social groups require effective leadership to succeed. Our Junior Staff program is designed to provide valuable experience for mature teens in all areas of recreation including performing arts, guidance, sports, and safety. The Junior Staff Volunteers will assist Leisure Square specialty summer camp counselors in one of 2 specialty camps. You must be 13, 14, or 15 years old to participate.
